Playing today ... Use Of Weapons

The Culture novels written by Iain M. Banks were an immediate inspiration to the track titled "Use Of Weapons" – specifically the novel under the same name. It's main character, Cheradenine Zakalwe, who is recruited by the Culture's Special Circumstances division, was perhaps the most interesting literary figure I encountered when I first read the novel in the mid-90s. The track itself was created during the 2004-2005 era where FK shifted between the electro- and/or breakbeat-oriented vector and the industrial metal-influenced vector.

Critical Void is an analytical audio work based on an urbanist study of the MaximiliansForum in Munich and its planning history. By employing interviews with key individuals and document research, Z‘EV, Alexandra von Bolz'n and Mark Kammerbauer developed a site-specific audio performance and work that was performed live on site on 24.07.2013. FRAGMENT KING 25TH ANNIVERSARY

On the occasion of the the 25th anniversary of Fragment King, Nexialist is releasing three special compilations spanning recordings created and released between 1997 and 2014. In 1997, Fragment King recorded the "Demo That Exploded" and the adventure in speculative audible environments began. Above Us (FK 25th Anniversary Edition) features recordings written and produced during 2007 and 2010 within the Angel Position sessions in Weimar and Berlin. Furnace Lodge (FK 25th Anniversary Edition) includes tracks created during 2002 and 2007 predominantly within the Pathomechanical, Anatomic Music and Grey Album sessions in Ridgewood/USA, Weimar/Germany and Berlin/Germany.
