FRAGMENT KING: RETREAT + REMIXES

RETREAT is here, courtesy of Annihilvs Power Electronix and label mastermind Le Bourreau II who was infinitely patient with me while I was working on these 6 tracks, accompanied by 2 fantastic remixes. I'm really proud of this album, if I can call it that way. Throughout the entire conceptualization, recording and editing process I moved multiple times, left teaching at uni behind and wondered what music or sound I would be capable of turning into a narrative I would be happy with, 7 years after completing the ANGEL POSITION album. It was clear that RETREAT wouldn't be that rabidly aggressive form of FK. Things back then already hinted towards the "imaginary soundtrack" form of FK and that is what happened. I fed Lee with demo versions that evolved over time where Lee always felt potential to be explored that was also in line with what I had in mind. That is synergy. The remixes by Snowbeasts and 2W a.k.a. Thierry Arnal further reinforce this synergy. All that remains to be said at this moment is a mucho metal brothers-in-arms thank you to all who made this release happen and I hope listeners enjoy it. Now get the tape version already before it's sold out!

Review time again! Side-Line Reviews listened to RETREAT by Fragment King, released as a cassette and digital package by Annihilvs Power Electronix .
